Jim Gillespie – President/Managing Director of Ipswich River Media

With a passion for media, Jim has a strong record of accomplishment, including over 19 years of media sales and development experience. While serving The New York Times Company, Jim held various sales and management roles in New York and Boston. At The Boston Globe, Jim played a lead role in repositioning the Travel brand, and managed the development of cross-platform programs for the Travel category and major accounts. Jim is the recipient of numerous new product development awards while serving the NY Times and has presented on a variety of advertising topics at various regional conferences.

Outside the work, Jim can be found coaching lacrosse, assisting various community organizations, or spending time with his family - kayaking, fishing, skiing, hiking, playing tennis, or doing just about anything outdoors.


John Coulbourn – Senior VP/Managing Director of Ipswich River Media.

With nearly 20 years’ experience in marketing and communications, John directed worldwide efforts for SeaChange International in video-on-demand and advanced television advertising. Previously, he was a consultant with Weber Shandwick helping technology companies with their communications strategies and tactics.

He is the recipient of the Cable TV industry’s prestigious RainMaker Award for his efforts in helping to promote on-demand television. He holds a BA degree from the University of Rochester and a MS degree in communications from Boston University.

John lives north of Boston with his wife and kids. He has lived and traveled extensively throughout the world. He enjoys exploring the ocean in kayaks, sailboats or with a scuba tank on his back.


Ted Reed – Executive Video Producer, Ipswich River Media

Three-time winner of N.E. Emmy Awards for Best Director, Ted produces, writes, directs, shoots and edits broadcast and non-broadcast video. He was one of the founding producers of Evening Magazine at WBZ-TV, Boston, the nation’s first nationally syndicated magazine-format television shows. Ted has 30 years of experience producing a wide range of documentaries, commercials, instructional and public service campaigns for local and national television, as well as sales, educational, and institutional videos.

Jason Farrington – Senior Application Developer

Jason has over 14 years of experience in the web industry. Starting in 1993  the same year the first web-browser was released to the public. Jason has witnessed first-hand the ever changing landscape of the web world. He is very passionate about technology and also the latest and greatest techniques to utilize it.

With several hundred websites and applications under his belt, Jason is ready for anything and is always up for a good challenge.  Over tha past 14 years he has had the opportunity to work with several fortune 500 companies, build ecommerce applications that grossed over 2 million in sales and work with some of the best designers the state of Maine has to offer.
